Merry Christmas to all our family and friends!
Wow! we can't believe how fast this year has passed. Matt has been working at Pierce this past year and is enjoying welding and making firetrucks. November, he has officially been at Pierce hired on for a year and was able to get 1 week of vacation time for the months of November and December.
Thanksgiving we took two of his vacation days for traveling to Kentucky and spending several days with my Uncle, Aunt, cousins, and my sister, Anna. We drove down the day before Thanksgiving and was able to be down there from Thursday till Monday and drove back to Wisconsin on Monday. We really enjoyed our time with my relatives. My Uncle and Aunt works at the Creation Museum so we went on Friday. Saturday we drove down to Tennessee to take my sister back to Crown College. We got to spend the evening and Sunday morning with her before drving back to Kentucky.
Amy has finished her Medical Transcription course which she started last year. She is now looking on getting a job. She is realizing that this may be harder than she thought it would be. While she has been taking the course, Amy has also been doing some babysitting. Three days a week, she'll watch a ten year old -girl afterschool for two hours and at least once a week (sometimes twice) she'll babysit a four year - boy.
The big project in our lives (well mostly Matt's) is that he has been building a life size Mercury capsule. He started on it last Janurary and just finished in October. We have had several people from our church come over to see it and sit in it. He took it to work to show everyone there. He has also had the privilege of taking his capsule to a highschool here in Appleton. In the Spring he has some requests to show his capsule to a few more highschools, the Boy Scouts, and EAA. The highschool he took it to wants him to come back and they are planning on having the paper there. There is a chance he could make some money by taking this capsule places. The capsule is a great learning/teaching tool.
